Always great videos. First time I’m hearing about ezmix3. I currently have ezmix2 and was looking for some help. I had all my stuff on a 2017 MacBook, it all worked fine. The thing broke so I just had to buy a new 2024 macbook. Ez drummer works, Kontakt works, ezmix2 works but my modern metal expansion pack for it is not showing in the presets menu. In the toon track product manager I have an alert that 1 product is not installed, which is the audio sender. I download and install it, it goes through the process and says it’s complete. Yet there is no check mark above where it says “installed” like there is for the other products that work. there is a red button that says “mark as installed” and when I click it it does nothing. The modern metal pack product is all downloaded and says ready to use. really not sure what to do anymore. Any ideas?

I know this is an older video but it’s helped me immensely, so thank you! I did have a question though (and maybe I missed it), but how do you go about dragging a midi clip into bandmate and/or revealing it in finder from the clips list?

Could't you send them all to a return track? and make a group for the drums for muting and so forth?

Shootie I gotta tell you man, that last feature was the selling ticket for me man! all I've wanted to do was add some beat to my songs and I am not willing to pay a producer to do it and share 50% of my royalties just to add some drums - I have a wood set of drums behind me but my headphones cord doesn't reach to over dub and its not always easy to just bang out drums in the odd hours of the night so thank you so much for your guide I will be purchasing this software souly for that feature alone "Bandmate!" 🙌

Im still lost. I did this all, and it's not transmitting data to S1, though i can hear the audio out of my Iostation 24C. The Midi works fine as ive gotten it all set up on EZD3 app itself seeing the triggers and hearing the audio but on S1 it doesnt show on the meter bar and the popup plugin doesnt gollow what im doing from my TD-17

I'm doing mostly bossa nova and samba material. Are there lots of grooves for these styles?

This pre order offer is pointless when you just have very limited info of how much improved the plugin is. I rarely use EZmix 2, so the reason for me to invest in ezmix 3 would be if it is significant improvement and adjustability within it. I'm not interested in just presets that are fixed.

Thank you so much for this video, what a resource for people interested in tune tracks products. I swear, all of the latest EZ drummer libraries have sounded much better than the superior expansions. I wish this, and the Micheal Ilbert ones were released as SDX products. Anyhow, thank you again!

Found your stuff tonight. I had EZ2 and got decent but it's been awhile. I got 3 recently and felt a bit lost. This Beginner's course you put together is gold. The thing about selecting your time signature first in Grooves is better than most entire EZD tutorials altogether. Awesome work brother. Subscribed. Keep it rollin Edit: No idea what you meant by people saying your videos weren't polite enough, or too fast? They are perfectly done and very easy to follow. Some people have to whine, they can't help themselves. If those folks can do better, they should create a channel and do so (they won't). Peace.

HI Shawn - it would be a BOSS FS-5U or FS-6 FOOT SWITCH - My goal is to configure midi with EZD3 to increment user kits while playing live. You are probably the master who could figure this out. Cannot believe this is such a stretch for these VSTs to do this. bruford was doing this back in the 1980s. I have a feeling that I'm just going to have to export the user kit back into the td-50x via sd card, then use the switch with the module. I like the VST sounds so much more than the module. Was kind of hoping to practice, edit, record, and jam all from the computer side. for example, I like doing percussive intros, then changing kits with a foot switch dynamically back into a natural jazz with industrial samples mixed in. whatever the music calls for. You just have to set up the kits to be incremented in sequential order. check out david torn live cloud about mercury - changing the kits is wild and effective - love doing that with solos. The boss footswitch is compatible with the td-50x. Thats why I chose that.

I have been searching for this exact issue for two weeks, and did I find the solution by actively screening the internet? No! It was by randomly finding your video on a remote website searching for something totally unrelated. Don't know, maybe it was just me making the wrong questions to our overlord Google search. Highly appreciated, great tutorial man.

I am very much in the frustration camp regarding not having 32 mono output support directly within SD3. It seems like it should be possible to use busses and pans within SD3 mixer to route, for example, KickIn and KickOut to channel 1-2 without checking that box. Then, at least the driver channel utilization is fully optimal with one mic per channel. That would then reduce the problem of splitting those optimized stereo outputs from SD3 into mono channels to manipulation within the DAW. Within the DAW, while not optimal, it SEEMS like one should be able to route the SD3 stereo channels to a stereo bus to start but then duplicate the bus by sending it to two additional busses. You would now have the same 2 mics on each second level bus, one hard left and one hard right. At that point, there has to be a way to just drop one side in a conversion to mono, but I don't know how to do that. So frustrating. BTW... your video here IS the best explanation I've seen by far for how to get as close to being able to do this as one would want to. Thank you.

excellent vid Shawn; some drum modules like the td-50x have a port for a midi foot switch (such as boss fs-6). You can increment user kits dynamically from the module. But what if your user kits are all on the ezdrummer3 VST side? Can ezdrummer 3 user kits created there be incremented live or dynamically using a switch from the audio interface? Or can the drum modules kit change be synced with ezdrummer user kits? thanks
